CERVELO P5 DURA ACE DI2 DISC TT/TRIATHLON BIKE 2021

Designed for maximum speed pure and simple, Cervélo’s P5 Dura-Ace Di2 Disc TT/Triathlon Bike uses their extensive carbon and aerodynamic knowledge to make it as fast and slippery as possible. It offers a 17 gram aero improvement over the previous model whilst being lighter and stiffer too, so more power hits the tarmac with stiffness increases of over 20% at the head tube and bottom bracket.

Internal cable routing keeps them hidden from the wind but the clever Speed Riser design of the handlebar system means that making height adjustments or travelling with the bike is much easier than it is with many aero optimised machines; just a single tool allows an infinite range of adjustments to be made.

Shimano’s electronic Dura-Ace Di2 R9100 11-speed groupset is the perfect partner to a TT bike, allowing shifts to be made from either the brakes or the extensions so the perfect gear is always easily to hand, selected by a light touch of a button. TT bikes used to have a reputation for being rather weak on the braking front, but the inclusion of disc brakes now means more confidence, and hence speed, when descents or corners are involved.

Included with the crankset is 4iiii’s Precision Dual-Sided Power Meter, giving precise power measurement so that race day efforts or training sessions can be carefully measured and monitored. ENVE’s carbon SES 5.6 wheels offer a 54mm deep front rim and 63mm rear, providing excellent aerodynamics whilst still retaining predictable handling in crosswinds and all at a very palatable, sub 1,600 gram weight.

Practical additions such as the two Smart Pak storage and rear hydration mount allow plenty of nutrition and bottles to be carried for full Ironman distance events without compromising the bike’s ability to cut through the wind.
